It was when I came back from home in Feb tihs year, just after Chinese Spring Festival. I found that I can’t access wordpress.com any more. Searching this issue on Google, I get to know that it’s blocked by the national firewall of China.

Fourth months later, just as I sit in GE China’s office, a occasional click led me here, to discover that I can get it through proxy. What can I say? After log-on, what I can see is a 4-month old draft titled “Lenovo and Apple”, half done. And I checked the comments, nothing unexpected. And it comes some new look in Presentation tab.

But I can’t go on blogging here, through this fabulous blog service, with the most famous and popular blogware in the world. All these posts cannot be continued. Because the big disconnect. How could this happen to me?

该网站界�?�简�?�直接，AJAX编�?速度很快，布局上也没有太多的累赘。添加事项在页�?�顶部中间的一个类似文本输入框中，支�?基本的英文语法，�?必费力去学习机器的规则。在设置中�?�以加入其它网站如Flickr�?Upcoming.org等网站的资�?，把多项�?务整�?�在一起。（现在还�?能把Flickr里�?�的图片直接显示在日历上，如果这样的�?就更牛了）日历�?�以共享，�?�以方便的给朋�?��?�邀请，这几乎是Web 2.0的标志了。当然，也�?能忘记beta的字样。

这个网站�??字看上去就很酷，与其左等�?�等�?�?�的Google Calendar，还�?如先在这里用起�?�。

低级错误

已�?很难�?说这些都是低级错误了。在�?一次�??交申请之�?�，我都会�?�现自己犯下了啼笑皆�?�的错误。它们中的大部分都是拼写错误。比如把Beijing写�?了Bejing，把Standard Poors写�?Stand and Poors。这些在我看�?��?难容�?的错误竟然一�?的出现在�?�?的文档中，并且永远改�?完。

这是为什么呢？很难说这是一�?所谓的�?度问题。�?�是心里的浮�?总是挥之�?去，总是在空想未�?�，尽管明知�?�是一场梦幻。

I am all frustrated about the applications and want to get rid of them. It’s better if I go back to read about history and arts now. It’s nothing about stupid mistake. It’s a devastating failure.

Google的Email+IM

Google把Gmail和Chat放在一起了。我本�?��?�想到�?�以用Gmail�?�储存Google Talk的历�?�记录，但还决没有想到�?�以直接把�?�时消�?�放进邮件客户端里�?�。
这个全新的功能是整个互�?�网都未曾想到的。当很多人都在分�?Email与IM的互补之�?�时，Google真正把这两个在时间属性上完全相对的�?务整�?�起�?�，�?��?一个完整的功能：�?�通讯。无论�?�络人是�?�在线，我们都�?�以以Email和IM两�?方�?�?��?�系到他/她。与移动设备暂时�?能连接显然�?是Google自身的问题，在移动通信市场高度分隔的状况下，互�?�网也无能为力。
其实Gmail Chat很�?以�?WordPress的一个AJAX的�?�件，�??字忘了，�?�以�?�时在线�?�表评论，和�?�天室很�?。如果在�?�想起AJChat�?�，Gmail Chat的样�?就�?难想象了。

P.S. �?过我想对于Gmail用户中的很多人�?�讲，接�?�这样的一个新的概念�??怕需�?时间。Google总是太快，�?��?�?�教育用户。或许一个�?�大众�??供�?务的公�?��?应该过分强调IQ的高�?�?�攀，而是更多的把自己的想法清楚地的告诉所有人。

Aspiration (Special Thanks to Irene)

Google, one of the greatest inventions ever, created by Stanford students, claims that “Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.�? As a Finance student, my aspiration is to make financial services universally accessible and useful for everyone.

Admittedly, financial services like student loans and mortgages are not accessible for everyone, especially in China. Thousands of qualified students cannot afford college education because of incomplete education financing system. And for those graduates, they have to work doubly hard to buy a house, because they can hardly get mortgages. The fact that the rich get more and better financial services aggravates social inequality resulting in a worse-off situation.

As director of one of the largest student organizations concerning Finance nationwide, I had many opportunities to talk with key persons in this sector. While talking with Mr. Hu, vice-president of Standard Poors about the outlook of mortgage products in China, I was thinking about how financial services help people live a better life globally and how all of these could happen in China. Fortunately, as a finance student, I believe I can use my knowledge and professional skills to make it happen in the near future. In fact, last year, I had a great experience of being a member of a start-up team to design credit cards for college students. Our product was ranked top 3 among 100+ business plans in Peking University and attracted several investors.

It’s all about helping people with their financial status, through which I could enjoy giving and sharing, thinking and practicing, learning and inventing. It’s all about a right way of doing business: integrity, equality and innovation.

最近越�?�越关心Apple的新闻，今天在digg.com上�?�看到两�?�：

大概是说Dell的创始人Dell曾�?在Jobs刚刚�?新接�?�财务困境中的Apple的时候，记者曾问他，如果他接手Apple会怎么办，他说会把公�?��?�掉把钱退给股东。在Macworld SF之�?�，苹果的股票上�?�了12%，现在市值超过了Dell，Jobs写了�?邮件说Dell应该收回说过的�?。

个人化的对两家的新�?�核笔记本的对比，包括硬件和软件。

Dell或许是近些年制造业中最大的奇迹�?�，所以获得了和�?�样传奇的Apple直接对�?的地�?。而HP和Lenovo除了在M&A上创造了�?�?�故事之外，似乎�?善�?�陈。Lenovo到现在也没有Duo Core的产�?出现，HP的新�?似乎也没有什么太大的声�?。Dell和Apple真会代表PC和Mac两大阵�?�开始旷世的决战�?�？

�?会赢呢？事实上，Apple花费了很大的精力在软件的易用性上，但是�?�没有获得最为广泛的支�?。相�??，PC�?�?的�?作和混乱的软件系统�??而得到了从Geek到Grandpa的支�?。回头看，应该是一个开放与�?闭的问题。阻止对手进入市场�?一定�?在技术上进行�?制，而�?�以是�?牌的�?垒。IBM开放了自己的硬件标准，到现在�?�?�PC了，�?然还有人认为IBM是最高贵的PC�?牌。Apple应该有此勇气，毕竟Apple的�?牌价值远远大于Dell。出色的设计和精细的工艺�?是�?都能�?�到的。

校内网是开始�?久的一个网站，清�?�大学的几个�?�学共�?��?�起，很�?著�??的Facebook。�?�说网站的界�?�就�?得�?得了。�?知�?�这算�?算所谓的Web 2.0，�?�是它诞生在这个时代，�?�?�?戴上一些时代特色。

接到朋�?�的邀请，也加入试用。实际上注册�?�开放给清�?��?北大�?人大�?北航这四所大学，�?过Logo上并没有加Beta的字样。�?户的基本信�?�包括基本信�?��?课程�?爱好等多项，这些信�?��?�以帮助用户超越地�?�的界�?认识新的朋�?�（尽管我�?然怀疑这样的关系的稳定性和安全性）。�?�以通过邮件邀请朋�?�注册，但是他们注册之�?�并�?会自动�?��?你的好�?�，所以如果�?添加好�?�必须在网站找到该人，然�?�添加。添加之�?�，如果对方确认，就会出现“2度好�?��?，立刻显出社会网络的原型。

根�?�网站自己的统计，人数最多的五个系是：

全部为�?�工科，这从一个侧�?��??映了此站的问题，�?�UI�?然�?够细致。首先，速度比较慢，这就�?�常打击积�?性。其次，�?�索功能�?够强大，没有统一的关键字�?�索引擎。�?次，没有RSS订阅或者邮件�??醒，试图把用户绑在网站上。其它的，包括feedback链接�?够明确：最好能够直接把建议这样的字眼写出�?�而�?�用“留言�?��?这样的�?，结果�?��?了一个BBS。

值得称赞的是，网站在学生放�?�回家的这段时间里推出�?费校车的线下活动，在线上也设置了�?�车次�?�车�?�行的字样。这些�?�活的功能最能�?�引用户。

�?�我所知，中国高校在这类网站方�?�的�?试也有很多，但是有的很快消失了。校内网能够�?�多久，�?然未知。我最近有机会和他们的创始人接触，希望能够有更多的交�?。
